Once you hang the light to your preferred height, just plug the unit directly into an outlet and it will instantly power on. The use of an outlet timer is essential for maintaining proper growth of long and short-day plants.  For this reason, each Aspect includes a mechanical outlet timer that works as a daily on/off switch for your grow light.
