What is the difference between the ceiling canopy and outlet plug option?

The ceiling canopy option has to be hardwired to a pre-existing electrical feed in the ceiling of where you want to install the trail rail or you have to get an electrician to run power to the spot on the ceiling you want the trail to be installed.

The cord and plug option allow you to install the track rail anywhere you want on the ceiling, however, you would need to run the cord across the ceiling and down the wall. This option is more user-friendly but less aesthetically pleasing due to the cord running across the ceiling and down the wall.
