The Vita™ Grow Bulb is available in two beam angles: Narrow (36°) and Wide (60°). The beam angle determines how concentrated the light is and how far it can be from the plant.
Narrow Beam (36°)
The Narrow Beam focuses light into a tighter, more concentrated area.
Best for:
• Plants that are farther from the light
• Pendant lighting or recessed fixtures
• Situations where the bulb is more than 3 feet from the plant
Typical hanging height:
24" – 84" above the plant
Because the light is concentrated, it provides stronger intensity to a smaller area, similar to a spotlight.
Wide Beam (60°)
The Wide Beam spreads light across a larger area.
Best for:
• Plants closer to the light
• Lamp fixtures and tabletop setups
• Lighting multiple plants or shelves
Typical hanging height:
12" – 48" above the plant
The wider beam provides softer, more even coverage, similar to a floodlight.
Quick Recommendation
Choose Narrow Beam (36°) if:
• Your light fixture is more than 3 feet above the plant
• You want stronger light for a single plant
Choose Wide Beam (60°) if:
• Your light is closer to the plant
• You want to cover multiple plants or a wider area
💡 Simple rule of thumb
| Beam | Best Distance | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Narrow (36°) | 24"–84" | Single plant, high ceilings |
| Wide (60°) | 12"–48" | Multiple plants, lamp fixtures |
